Wow did the summer go by fast. Lottie and Madeline go back to school in the morning. We all went to Open House tonight and met their teachers- Madeline has Mrs. Harris for first grade- the same teacher Lottie had, and Lottie has Mrs. Lingle. We are thrilled with what Oakland will offer them this year! Rich and I got a nice speech from one of the teachers commenting on our being "mature adults" in that we both attend the girls school functions, so I punched Rich on the shoulder and asked him how it felt to be a "mature adult "!
I took the girls down to Atlanta for four days of school clothes shopping and had a blast. It is so interesting how different their personalities are. We loved staying in a hotel and eating at a lot of places we don't have in Ellijay. I tried to steer them towards a museum but was out voted and we went to the large American Girl shop (and bought dolls) instead. It was really nice- I may have played with dolls when I was a kid if they had American Girl back then.
